Wait to start light

The wait to start light on my 2004.5 3500 will light then flash a couple of seconds then stays on and won't go off until I start the engine. It used to go off then I would start it. Any ideas - - ?

Just a guess, but maybe it's the temperature sensor that controls it?

It should stay on for a few seconds then,go off, your problem may be batteries or dirty terminals, as it has a high voltage draw, weak batteries will or could cause low voltage. hope it helps;;
