Valvoline 15w40 CI-4 Plus oil ??????
Valvoline 15w40 CI-4 Plus oil ??????
I came across Valvoline 15w40 CI-4 Plus oil. It's not the Premium Blue (PB), it's called All-Fleet Plus.

This one above is the new CJ-4 Spec, but I have come across a bunch of the older CI-4 stuff. The spec sheet seems to be pretty much the same as the PB.
Does anybody have any experience with this oil ??
I know the John Martin oil survey that was on TDR, listed the PB at the top of the list. I'm wondering if this would be the same ?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
David

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Not quite the same of course. But plenty good enough for engine. Take advantage of price and use saved dollars for PS fluid and brake fluid service needs.

The oil MSDS are nearly identical. Cummins did their own testing and wanted to brand their own oil. There you have Premium Blue. The regular Valvoline 15w40 has very small differences that you could not even tell by testing the oil. Maybe .0001 of a % of the same additive.
Basically they had to change it a little so Cummins could have their OWN oil.
Anyway, I'm stoked. I found a bunch of CI-4 Plus oil from a very reputable oil manufacturer.
