Question Valve Bodies

Quick question...does swapping out to aftermarket VBs void anything warrany wise? I can't STAND the way that my truck shifts...feels like it's just searching for what is right and the last thing I need is for this to happen when I am pulling a gooseneck full of cattle back home...probably slipping my TC too

Well at the very least, it would void the warranty on the transmission.

Being that it is internal of the tranny, unless someone was looking for a aftermarket VB being installed, or it shifted SOOO hard that it was obvious, I don't think they would notice it or care that much.

Unless of course the tranny is what you are bringing it in for.

I am seriously considering saying the heck with it and going for it...there is no way that the searching for gears that these valve bodies allow his tranny to do can be any worse for it than having VBs in that just find the gears and shift into it with authority. You know what I mean about the "searching" though right? Wish I could have gotten the G56, but the wife ====>

Oh I know about the searching for gears thing.

My friend has a 05 and was driving with him, its the most annoying thing.

If it was me, it would have been fixed by now

I'd say go for it, heck...while your in there, get yourself a better TC. (Tell the wifey its because she didn't want the G56 ....so its her fault that you need them )

I agree 100%. Go for it Derek Mckay. I plan on doing my vb and tc very soon. Your just making your trans better and more reliable, but if it did go out I wouldnt expect DC to fix it Id just fix it myself.

I'm still reasearching this but from what i've learned an upgraded VB and TC will put lots of stress on other parts in the tranny...especially the input shaft.

I for one am not doing anything with my tranny b'c if I modify something I want to do it right. My research, and this is just my research, has led me to believe if your going to mess with your tranny you need to go the whole 9 yards, which costs at a minimum $4,000...so get ready to pony up!

Unless you plan on going over 450hp or drag racing John Force down at your local drag strip I cant see you breaking your input shaft.Use a single disc tc,it wont be as harsh on shifts as a triple disc, and is not needed under 450hp.
