I agree with this. The manual mentions nothing about having to replace your injectors at 50,000 miles, but we all know that some have needed this.

The manufacturers have been shifting towards more "maintenance free" vehicles in the last several years, marketing this as a big selling feature. When platinum spark plugs and extended-life coolant were introduced, they were marketed to make the customer believe he would save money. We are learning that is not necessarily the case and we consumers are often wise to go beyond the maintenance spelled out in the schedule. If I had a common-rail engine, you better believe I would be doing an injector service on it from time to time. I also insist on using fuel conditioner in every tank, even though the manual says it isn't required.
