My brother-in-law has an 03 that has a quite noticable rushing air sound at or near the turbo while at idle, it sounds just like a vacuum leak, figured maybe one of yall could help on this, thanks

 

Mine has that too, but I attribute that to the AFE Stage 2 air intake. Does your brother-n-law have an aftermarket air intake or stock?

 

I 2nd what Texasctd says. If it has an aftermarket intake it is probably normal. If not I would check the rubber boots to see if they were tight and had no rub holes in them. Also check the small line for the waste gate. A boost gauge or an egt gauge could help out alot.

 

thanks yall, he still has factory everything, today we looked and could not find any thing, but we'll give it another check in the morning
