I was just wondering if anyone knew what a used SRW axle might go for on average. I have been looking into doing a SRW axle conversion on my DRW. I found one at a junkyard that is out of an '06 2500 that had 22,000 mi on it. It has a 3.73 gear, but I don't know if it has the LSD. They want $1200 for it and 4 steel wheels. To me that sounds high, but I really don't know. I thought I would get some opinions from the folks on here. Thanks.

 

Not sure if its high or not, and that may be dependant on where folks live; but have you asked them about swapping your dually axle and 6 wheels to offset the cost?

I think that with everyone online these days, most junk/salvage yards are aware what the competition sells and price accordingly.
