unplugging fca now code p0088

been fighting code p0148 for awhile. after several things- i am pretty sure its the prv. i contacted a diesel place online that sells modified ones. the gentleman suggested i unplug the fca first while the truck is running to confirm what was/is bad. i was told when you unplug the fca with truck running the truck should run like crap,etc-mine did not and was told it was the prv. this morning i got into the truck and she started rough- long crank time. ran a little rough the first mile or two- low on power but she was fine after that. drove her for 60 miles- no issues. got home and checked for codes i got p0088- fuel rail pressure too high. is this related to the prv? did i throw this code because i unplugged the fca when the truck was running? or is not related to what i did. any insight would be appreciated.

Yes, unplugging the FCA will probably throw two codes. It did on my 04.

Yeah, high rail pressure is from unplugging the FCA. When you unplug it ther eis no metering and it goes to max rail pressure.
