Update:
I replaced the boost sensor yesterday and on my drive to work this morning it did the same thing. It almost feels like the wastegate is dumping on me you hear kind of a poof from the passenger side when it acts up.I don't see any fluctuation in the boost pressure my RPM's drop and rise when it does it giving me that surge affect.

Does anyone think the APPS would be worth changing out at this point or would it make sense to get it into a shop.I just hate giving up myself but I'm running out of things to replace or check.

The apps is fairly expensive. At this point you may be money ahead to have someone do some diagnostics for ya. If you can get ahold of a scanner and watch the apps sensor when it is acting up, you can verify whether or not that is your problem. Other than that I'm out of cheap/easy ideas.

UPDATE:
I did some reading on Camshaft and Crankshaft sensors. My understanding is the Cam only sends readings at start up then the Crank takes over from there? At any rate I thought I might have had a false code of the Cam sensor since mine doesn't have a starting problem only drivability.I changed the crank sensor and so far it runs much smoother and hasn't acted up yet.But this one sneaky so I'll find out in the next couple of day's.The old sensor was very corroded so we'll see???
P.S. I took it back to bone stock a few days ago until I get this figured out.

Update again:

Well the crank sensor didn't change anything it's still bone stock and running like crap. The new thing it does is while in park the RPM fall to 0 then jump back to just under 1,000.It has even died a coupe of times.I've tried adding 2-stroke oil to see if it was a lube issue nothing changed it's just quieter.I bought a trans pressure and transducer with filter and Redline fluid I'll change it this weekend.I read somewhere they go out at 30k.I'm dying here I can't find a good shop in AZ to figure this thing out!I'm up to around $4k in parts and fluids with no affect.

By the way when I punch the pedal it still clears up and has great power!!?!!

Update Help!!

Help! My truck is really running bad now.It keeps throwing a P0341,P0016 code camshaft sensor, engine speed mismatch?Every time I start it,it will die a couple of times then the rpm keeps dropping to 0 and kicking back up to about a 1000.I don't think I can make it to a shop again!I'm thinking maybe computer since I changed the cam sensor a couple of weeks ago?

Check the wiring near the a/c sensor at the rear of the compressor. That seems to be a problematic area. Wiring rubs through and shorts out the reference signal.

UPDATE:
I checked the wiring everything seemed good at the A.C..Since I kept throwing the cam sensor code I thought I might check that again for the twentieth time.I wiggled the wires around and squeezed on the plug a little. When I started it up it seems to be running great now much smoother than it ever has!I still haven't put any of the performance stuff back in yet just to make sure it's not related.I drove it around for a few hours and everything still seems good.I'll keep you guy's posted on any new developments.
