Unhappy Turbo Failure

I have a 2005 dodge diesel and i am running the edge module along with the attitude monitor and a high flow exhaust, and stage 1 kit from afe and torque tube. I have been running these for about 800 miles and my turbo blew, anyone know if there are some faulty turbos out there or if the edge is causing this to happen, would appreciate any help i can get thanks

It is doubtful the Edge and Attitude had anything to do with the turbo failure. There has been a high incidence of failure with the new variable type turbos for no apparent reason.

It's funny you mention that. Today is the first day over 60 degrees this year and I SAW a puff of white smoke after I hammered on my tuck driving home.... I'm looking up new turbos now. Grrr!!!!! You can always find a reason to spend $

What boost levels were you seeing with the Juice/Attitude. I have mine set max at 36(default). That level should not hurt a 600/610 turbo.

I now get a small amount of black smoke on hard acceleration where I didn't useto get any at all. Maybe my turbo is going too!

TST offers a kit that will that let wastegate open by bypassing the command solenoid.
This kit will keep you from blowing your turbo if you use your head.

I ran a stock turbo all last year with a TST stacked with the EZ box on my 04.5.
Max boost was around 40 psi.

I also hooked to the sled about 9 times.
Upon removal of the stock turbo is spun like it was brand new.

There is no turbo flaw in my opinion, its more operator error.

I agree with PourinDiesel.

Regardless of whether the mods caused it, you voided your warranty.

If your stock, DC has to prove your guilty.
If your modified, you have to prove that your innocent.

There's a big difference.
