The replacement pump will work fine from Genos......if you take care of the fuel sytsem. Filter the fuel and it will last you just as long.

I trusted the factory reliability theory and I got by for over 100k miles on the factory LP. Once it puked I went with the AirDog setup and have never looked back......Now at 310k miles I've only replaced 1 seal in the AD pump and am still on the road.

This is how I would approach a stock truck used for work.

I would however plan and get a fuel pressure gauge in it as soon as practical, and reading the Genos page, might pick up a spare pump to have as a spare, just n case they are running out excess inventory from a contract cancellation.

But then i am the type who HATES to get caught short.

I also agree on the fuel pressure gauge, to me it's something that will save you time and money down the road. Just before a trip a friend once said to me
"why change that noisy u joint in the comfort of your shop? it's so much easier to do by the side of the road." The same holds true for the LP pump except with no fuel pressure gauge you have no idea it's failing or failed until you are stranded, the gauge would also indicate a clogging filter.

Turns over but wont fire or start

Not sure if my problem will be similar but I took my 2003 for a drive today, turned it off and it would not fire or start again. It turns over fine but will not fire. Automatic trans, 200,000 km. Edge easy chip, no other mods.
