I searched and did not find any information. Twice now, once in the morning after setting over night and once while sitting all day I have noticed a lunging or surge fealing when driving low speed just before trans shifts into second. I thought at first it was trans. My buddy who has trans shop said if it was i should have noticed RPM racing. I don't remember if they did, but I do know engine noise did not increase. He said it could be TPS. Anyone have any ideas ?

 

It could be the 2-3 shuffle shift issue that is common. Do a search for the govener solenoid. I believe that there is a TSB out for this issue. It's a simple fix. In fact a few I've replaced the govener solenoid with that from a GM (www dot transmissioncenter dot net/dodge dot htm).

I had one replaced at 31k, truck just hit 99k the other day and I think the same issue is coming up again.

 

check the o ring on the map sensor , my o6 qc had a tear and
was causing a surge under light throttle, and also a knock at idle after engine
warms up. hope this helps
