Truck leaking

Well I go out this morning to get in the truck and look under it like I always do... it's lifted and I'm short, not hard... and there's a puddle on the ground of about 6 inches of fluid just in front of the front axel and just to the left of center... I thought it might be the water-pump but that would be in the center right? I tried to see where it was coming from but couldn't... the fluid was coolant, it had that slimy, oily, coolant feel. I checked the radiator and the reservoir and they are both clear and to the levels... it was dripping off just behind the pulleys on the passenger side. All of the hoses and connections seem to be intact as well.

When I started it up to see if the leak got worse under operation it started dripping rust colored fluid... the radiator fluid is pink/clear, what ever they put in it at the dealership...

The truck has almost 116K miles on it and other than a U-joint no mechanical issues... Just seems early for a water-pump to fail and without warning.

I'm at a loss here... any help would be appreciated...

If it is the water pump how hard is that to change and how much $$$ for the parts?

Thanks again guys...

I believe there is a coolant connection on the passenger side of the motor that is sometimes loose. I forgot what it is for ...sorry . if I remember right it's just under the trubo.

That sounds like the area... bottom of the block behind the lower pulley. Now, how do I get to it and what does it take to tighten it?

Thanks guys!
