Truck Just Dies Cranks no start
Could be your lift pump.....mine died on the freeway when the lift pump gave out, same symptom....I was luckely able to bang on the pump and get it going again and made it home. Yours being a 2006 the pump is in the tank I think..
Pump is in the tank. Throw a pan under the filter bowl drain and open the valve. Turn the key on, then bump the starter. Fuel should run out pretty good. If not, it's either the pump, or the integrated power module (fuse box under the hood).
I had it towed into the dodge dealer and they said it was the clutch fan shorting out back feed into the system. Picked it up and it did it again before I even got home . Had it towed back in 2 days still no word.

I see loose ground at drivers side battery cause this problem all the time. Grounds the ECM if this connection is loose or has corrosion on terminal will cause a no start everytime. Ground wire goes directly to ECM mounted to left side engine block.

This is a quick way to check if fan clutch is your problem, and to determine if the fan drive has shorted Temperature/Pressure- Intake Sensor on the air box next to the right battery. Back probe the brown wire in cavity 3. The voltage should be 5 volts with the key on but if its 12+ volts the fan drive has likely failed. This circuit is common with the fan drive but this is a much easier access point. If the voltage is high (12+) at the K668 circuit you can disconnect the electronically controlled viscous drive fan clutch 6 way connector at the lower left side of the engine or a much easier approach is to pull the number 6 fuse. Communication with the ECM should be restored and the vehicle should start. This test should be done prior to any assumption that the ECM is faulty.

A big thanks to BigIron70 for the info. After a week sitting at the dealer I went up there Sunday to check for myself and found a lose ground wire on the battery. Tighted it up, but they had cranked on the truck untill the batterys were dead. Pulled them out charged them up and went back there today and installed them and fired it up and brought it home.
