I'm just about to head out the door to wax mine. I washed it yesterday, cleaned the windows/interior/wheels. But then I got to tired before I could get around to the waxing part.

Anyone here with a White truck experience this? I have tons of the super small spots on my truck(looks sortive like little rust spots), they come off with some serious elbow grease, I just wonder what they are.

What are you guys using for wash & wax? I like the Meguires brand.

Hello, I have a bright white 04.5 4X4 laramie. You might try getting a clay bar that gets rid of all surface contaminents. I followed that with Pinnacle paint conditioner and the Pinnacle Souveran wax. Truck looks showroom with no swirlmarks. There are a lot of other good products out there. Good luck.

The little rust spots are from the friction material on your brakes, rotors.
White paint lacks chromates, a natural rust retardant, so it shows on white faster than other colors.
Try putting some big mud flaps on the truck, this directs the molten peices of pad, rotor at the flap first, and away from the truck.

Mine's getting a full makeover on Tuesday: Kore Recon suspension, N-Fab nerf steps, 18x9 Centerlines, and 35x12.50x18" Toyo MT's.

Right now I'm heading out the door to give it a good wash, but wax will have to wait until next Sunday at the earliest.

My next investment is going to be a set of fender flares(the pocket flares look like they have the rivets going through them right?). At least that will help save some of my paint from the rock chips. I realy dislike the look of mud flaps, i'll give it a once over with a clay bar and see if that helps removed the spots.

steviebam- I've actually thought about the clay bar kit from Mequires, I guess i'll give it a shot now.

It is just contaminates also known as fallout. Like it was said, get a claybar and have some fun. It will all come out pretty easy and your paint will be super smooth.

Must be something in the air. I'm at 60,000 this week, so it was time for oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, transmission fluid and filter, and, just for a little icing on the cake, transfer case fluid change and tire rotation. Feels good knowing that the job that cost me less than $100 and a couple hours of my time would be worth at least $400 or $500 at the dealer.
