When you click on your high beams, do your low beams stay on? If so then the brite box works.

Did you buy the "fogzilla" add on? Separate harness, you have to buy two low beam bulbs, trim the tabs and use the supplied "o" rings.

The box will not control your fog lamps unless you have the add on. Call Geno's, they are good people, and they will make sure you have the right stuff for what you want to do. Heck, come on down to Atlanta and I'll take you to their "Garage".

Did you purchase the Stage Three Kit from Genos?
Mcneal is partly correct about the box, but incorrect about needing the accessory harness for the fogs. He is talking about the moding the factory fogs for more output not turning them on with the high beams. Here is Baker Auto Accessories Web Page for more information about this subject:
http://www.thebritebox.com/3g.ram.bb.stages.html

My guess is you purchase a lower stage 2 or 1 kit from your description. The Stage 2 (Brite Box SD7 or SD8 depending on model year) kit allows the High Beams and the Low Beams to work while on high, but leaves the factory fog on factory setting/off. The Stage 1 (Fogster SD7 or SD8) would allow the High Beams and Fog lights to be on on High, but leave the low beams off. The kit you sound like you want, which turns the low and fog on is called the SD7+Fog Light control or SD8+FLC (Stage 3 Kit). This kit should have two boxes one for the drivers side and one for the passengers side.

So, I would also call Genos and confirm their Ad description to Your invoice and what you paid for it. They might have sent a defective kit or wrong model year kit. I have heard good things about them on this and other boards. Although, I have not yet done a purchase from Genos to confirm the quality of service. Just make sure your kit is for the 2005 Dodge Ram (Brite Box SD7+FLC) since the 06 and newer have a different model desination such as (Brite Box SD8+FlC)

If you do a search you may come across a few cheap ways to have the function as the Brite Box, but with out the expense. Here is one that uses a couple of relays, which are similar to using the brite box.

There is another on here some where. It is where you run a jumper from the high beam relay to the fog lights relay to fire the foglights with the low beams. I read of a modification done to the multifunction switch (turn signal switch) that also did the same thing, but I think it was over on Turbo Diesel Register.

I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, turned the headlight switch ON, and reconnected. Now the fogs are on anytime I want them. The hi beam interlock is missing!
