transmission temps.....

Happy new year everyone !
Just bought a used 2003 dodge ram 2500 5.9 cummins turbo diesel. I pull a toyhauler 5th wheel with this truck and am concerned about the trans temps while towing. someone told me that the truck does have a TRANS TEMP warning light that is programmed to come on if the trans fluid reaches ~280*F IIRC. I think anything over 240 is to hot.....
I did not get any manuels with the truck when i bought it, therefore, i can't go to a manuel to check and see if this is indeed correct.

Any input would be greatly appreciated !

You can look at an 04 manual, it's pretty close to the 03's...

It is pretty easy to install a tranny tamp gauge in the 48re's.
