Is it something that you can just hear or feel, or both? Has it always done this since it was rebuilt? Has it slowly gotten louder, or did it start all of the sudden? How is the fluid condition and level? Any material on the magnet?

Those trannys can make a bit of noise at very low rpm, or when the torque starts coming on in higher gears.

I believe it takes about 9.5pts. The fill plug is on the drivers side.

The magnet is in the bottom of the trans. You will need to remove the power takeoff plate on the side of the trans. You will need some RTV silicone to re-install the plate. Leave out a top bolt if you want to overfill the trans. Fill it from the fill plug (17mm allen) and then use the bolt hole to overfill.

I made a tool from a short bolt, 17mm head, and welded the nut on it. Then use a 17mm box wrench.

I got a outboard gear oil pump at wallyworld for $6 that will thread into the bolt hole and the pump fits into the oil bottle. Worked great.

If you choose to overfill the tranny, I've always pulled the shift tower and dumped in 7 qts of fluid. I think the factory spec is less than what it should be but that's just my opinion. If you don't want to pull the shift tower then follow papaduck's advice on filling it up........but try and get the truck "tilted" to the passenger side so you can get a complete 7qt fill.
