Transfer/Trans leak input shaft groove

Ok, I have been having this annoying leake between the trans/transfer case. So Dave Goerend sent me both the trans output seal and transfer input seal with a new valve body to try (love it). Well I changed both seals and sure enough, it is still leaking. The thing is, I did notice a groove on the transfer input shaft where the seal rides.

So can the shaft be replaced? anyone do it on their own?
I have used plenty of speedy sleeves on older cars for leaking harmonic balancers, do they make one for this application?

It doesn't leak so bad I have to add fluid, but it is annoying to see it wet under there all the time and it does leave occassional drips on the driveway.

Thanks folks

I'd ask Dave, he works on them every day.

Yeah, I probably will. I try not to take up much of daves times as we (those who use him) know how busy he is. I will give him a ring in the next day or so.

I understand and don't blame you. There isn't any grass growing under his feet.
