Transfer case rear leak?

I've read of people's transfer cases leaking at the rear and now mine is doing it. Just wondering if I should put a new transfer case rear output shaft seal in or transfer case rear seal in. Thanks for the input!!

Check the yoke on your driveshaft. I recently repaired mine and that was where it was leaking.

I really haven't inspected it closely but it looks like it's leaking before the yoke. There's oil all over the rubber boot so I think it's one of the seals I mentioned above. Maybe I'll do both seals since they're only $20 a piece from my local napa store.

Check this repair, this exactly what was wrong with mine. I replaced the dust boot first and had no luck.

Did you JB weld the cap back on or use the RTV like him? Also I had the dealer do the rear u joints a little over a year ago and I think they replaced the yoke cause it was leaking but I can't remember for sure. Guess the next time I get some free time I'll tear it down and see where it's leaking.

I tried the jb weld way first....no joy. So I took it apart again and used black rtv I believe. So far so good.
