Question trans upgrade

Hey, I pull a 36', 12,000 lb, fifth wheel, with a 04, 2500, 4X4, 85,000mi. & have noticed a shudder while starting out. I seems fine any other time. I read about a trans selenoid upgrade, recogmended by Toxic Dielsel and RKL Dielsel. Has anybody performed this upgrade? Does it perform and install as promised? Any comments? The artical is in the October issue of Dielsel World Magazine. Thanks, Jim.

Don't just do a partial upgrade, do it all, Flex plate, torque converter, electronics, the works. It's worth the money and the tranny will love you for it. Add an exhaust brake while you are doing it also. Go BIG or don't waste the time going

Do they make an exaust brake for a 2004 with the 48re trans? I know you can get it for later models...
