Tranny Slip from stop
I am starting the same thing with my 06 with 6500 miles. power is not going to the ground. Plus you put some weight behind her and she is a joke. Took it to the dealer and they done a few checks and everthing looked ok on the surface. They told me to try it some more and bring it back if it dont do any better. Then I drove a new 6.7 6speed with less hp than mine. Night and day between the 2. Made me so sick of my truck. I cried all the way home. I bought this truck to pull and its a joke.
just talked to the dealer, pick the truck up this afternoon, new internals and TC after 23 days and all electronics changed first....seems that they shouls have testing in place to diagnose mechanical from electrical.23 days for the rental on them is 800.00 bucks plus all the work they did, they run their company like the US govt.I've heard from alot of bone stock owners that end up having the same issue. Maybe we can get them to upgrade our 05 and 06's to the six speed Auto.... yes the beer is cold.... thanks for the responses
Mine was and is started to do the same thing again today except that it just seems to start in 3rd gear and takes forever to get moving because the TC slips so much. Mine is a wire that some how got chaffed inside of the wire loom and I can feel see/feel the spot where the tech hooked the new wire in to the existing one at the tranny and the shrinkwrap is loose on one end and the wire feels loose. If any of you have this problem again have them check the "12v supply to the trans open and fan module wires rubbing on frame causing trans not to shift" at least thats the description they gave on my HUGE bill in Aug.
well i'll tell you guys this it is the tc and vb that is letting this slip if you watch your rpms when you pull away from a stop and when it shifts you will see the problem. if when it shifts you see hardly any drop in rpms then it is the tc going out, also when the tc goes into lockup you see a large drop. then it is really the tc going. the vb will help the tc hold the pressure. i know your truck is underwarranty and dodge will fix it but to not deall with the head aches a tc and vb replacement might be the ticket.
My truck is going in again in 2 weeks for another new tc and tranny. This tc and tranny lasted a whole 3000kms. What the diff between the 06 and 07 tranny and tc? Are they any better?
