Tranny ?S

just got smarty installed. tried to run the #6 program but tranny does not make use of it. keeping it on 4 for now. i know i need tranny upgrades but the question i have is how much will a TC and VB upgrade beef up the tranny?as in what setting will i be able to use?

SW#9 with some restraint. Actually you can use 9 on a stock trans with a lock up switch and a little common sense.

A good tight TC and a VB to boost the pressures will make it much more diveable but the input shaftis a coin toss. You may be lucky and have one that will take some power or have a dud.

TC and Valve body

You can get a tripple disk billet TC and Valve body mod installed for under 2000.00. Much less if you can do it yourself.

whats the billet input shaft going for? what else would be a good thing to beef up?
any good things about ATS? they are located in colorado and i would like to have them do it all in house. if not them, who else?

billet inputs run about 700.00 plus tax. converter obviously. if theres no real problems with the trans right now then those two should be fine for now. id call up HTS, www.htstransmissions.com

why are you using even numbers? are you stacking it with something else that does timing? if not id use odd numbers to give you cooler egts, and mpg

i've got the TC & VB with a billit input...and trans does awsome, i can tell it can handle alot of power...only other things i plan on doin is a flexplate and new clutches in the future...
