I have a 05 5.9 liter that is all stock. Recently the tranny started acting up. From a complete stop when you give it gas it feels like the truck is taking off in second gear. it gets to about 2000-2200 rpms before the truck starts to move. this is with a light load. With no load it is fine. It seems to only do it after driving on the free way for a while, driving in town traffic it seems to work fine. If you turn the truck off and restart it after it starts to act up it works fine as long as you do not take it back on the free way. There is no check engine or trans light on and the dealer ship said it was not putting off any codes. Any of you guys have a problem like this or any advice as to where to start looking. I do not want to take it to a trans shop yet because most will tell me I need a rebuild weather I need it or not. The truck has 140,000 mile on it and no warrarnty.
