tranny lines rubbed through, ATF leak!
Anyone else experience this. The SS lines that carry ATF from the block? to the trans. On my '03 drives side, just below and behind the fuel filter, there are two SS lines. One has a rubber coupler just below the other line. They are almost perpendicular to each other at this point and I guess have been rubbing against each other since day one. Well 105K later and one finally rubbed through and let loose all my ATF. Had her towed to the dealer this morning, still waiting to see from them.

My '96 1/2 ton Chebby did that, at about 100k. I cleaned it up and epoxied the area around the leak with "liquid steel" (or something like that). Held for many more miles until I bought the Dodge.

...recall was on the early 03's. Both lines were hard and vibration was causing the heat exchanger to crack internally filling the cooling system with trans fluid (that made a MAJOR mess). The one line (output) with the rubber section is the correct line and replaced the hard line.
