Tranny help

to start off i have a few questions al relating to my 05 with 48re transmission that is stock and i have a quadzilla xzillaraider that i run on 65hp tune while tranny is stock so ..

1 how much of a boosted launch can i safely do in 2wd on the 65hp tune without busting stuff

2 i am planning out my tranny mods so far i think i want to go with goerend stuff as he has good recomendations and prices. when said and done i am pretty sure i want to do vb/tc/and input shaft

so what is best to do first the tc and input shaft or the vb . the vb is the cheapest to start but will it do anything on stock tc and i figured id do input shaft and tc at same time since it will need to be dropped to do

any recomendations on what is best ... im mainly looking at street driving soem drag racing and maybe a sled pull or two

Boosted launchs are a gamble!!
Some have broken hardened shafts, some never break a stock shaft with a lot of power!!
Anyway, do the VB first, it will save the clutches. Then get the shaft and converter.
The problem with our trucks automatics is pressure too low, poor QC, and too loose of fluid coupling.

Boosted launches will cost you money with any transmission, built or not. You're building up a lot of torque and releasing it in a small amount of time; there's a tremendous shock to the drivetrain in that moment. Whatever the weakest link is in your drivetrain will be at the most risk of snapping.

As for trans mods, you should go for a full built right off the bat and not mess around. If you piecemeal it, you will pay thousands more than you need to.

You can increase line pressure with a shift kit and an allen wrench, not needing a vb right away! Cheapest way to increase line pressure!
