Tranny additive's

hey everyone. i just did the trucks first tranny fluid change and adjusted the bands. i took it out for a test ride and everything is great. i think adjusting the bands got rid of my 2-3 gear hunt cuz i couldnt make it happen but we'll see. Anyway my question is, is anyone using a tranny additive like lucas? I love lucas products and id like to use it as PM. just curious thanks.

Do your homework on the lucas additives.

15 years ago i put thier additive in my wifes grand cherokee's engine.

Right away it had lower oil pressure, by 1/2!! I shut it off and pulled the dipstick. It was all foamy---full of bubbles way up on the stick 2 inches above the full mark. Lifters clattered too.

So I drained it and the pressure was back to normal.

And NO I didn't over fill it.
It was mixed with Mobil Delvac 15w40.

No additives with ATF+4. Nada. Nothing. Period.

All the additives on the market effectively try to make a synthetic out of the non-syn fluids. ATF+4 is a group 3 synthetic so it doesn't need anything added.
