Tranny ???

Hey guys I have tranny question. I have a 04.5 3500 4wd auto that lurches in second gear. I noticed this during slow speed no load operation in 2nd gear. Basically I was just above idle going straight down a road and there is a very noticeable continuous lurch. It does not seem to be slipping as the RPM go from about 1000 - 1200. It does not do it in 1st gear or in drive. The only other thing I have noticed is it will sometimes stumble going from 2nd the 3rd while going around corners at low speed. The truck is all stock with about 50k on it. Thanks for any input.

First thing to check is your tranny fluid. Crank it up, kick on the E-brake, and put it in Neutral while on level ground. Then check the fluid level. It may be a little low. Also, another thing to ask you about is the fuel filter. When was the last time you changed it. Clogged fuel filters can also cause stumbling issues.

Maybe time to service it and while your in replace some shift solinoids.Maybe get a dealer or a good tranny shop to hook up a box and check first.
