Track bar.
Track bar.
I just put new left side ball joints in my truck and found that the track bar is worn out it hasn't been in the truck hardly a year. Is there a better bar out there for these trucks?
I recall you starting a thread about replacement track bar bushings. So instead, you installed a new bar and those bushings are shot already?
Carli and Thuren market high quality products that you may want to look into. A new Carli adjustable track bar provided me with a tighter more planted feel to the front end as rubber bushings are not used on these upgraded bars. I Hope you find this helpful in making a decision.

Rebuild it!
I checked out the price on the BD bar and a factory replacement and couldn't believe the price. Minimum $400 Can. I said screw it and went down to my local hotrod shop and bought some 3/4" heim joints and made my own bar. I cut the ends off the original track bar with a grinder, drilled a hole in each end and tapped some new threads in that match the Heims. I tack welded one heim joint on to hold the bar in the correct position and bolted the bar in place. I just did this in my garage at home in approximately 4.5hrs. The heim joints are about $20 a piece made from Chromoly (so they're plenty strong) and also bought some new grade 8 hardware. All in I was approx $60 + $10 for beer. Problem solved and the feedback in the steering wheel is excellent. If you're handy with some basic tools you can do it on the cheap and keep your hard earned cash in your pocket, not the Stealr's....
