I am still getting use to the auto in my 06. This is my first auto in years and my 05 was a 6speed. My ???? is how much weight can you pull without putting it in tow haul ? I want to be extra careful with the trany.

 

I use it in mine even if im only towing my watercraft which is under 1000 lbs. I even use it empty tho sometimes just cause I like the TC lockup feature. The '06 is nice cause you can select Tow/haul and have lockup but still shift into overdrive. Probably in your best interest to use when you tow anything if you want to have the tranny last. On the highway it wont matter much unless you have a heavy load.

 

Put it in tow/haul anytime you have some weight on board or towing. Still goes into overdrive but changes the shifting a bit and enables grade braking to help slow you down. Locking out overdrive is only for heavy towing when you find the vehicle can't hold overdrive and is gear hunting. Also would be good in switch back mountain driving to avoid the constant shift.
