too cold for truck to start ?

Also one other thing I havent had time to really look, but did they all come with the block heater element, just no cord or what?? I know its just behind the filter just havent reached back there yet.

IF................

The fuel is still a liquid............

and

you have enough battery to spin it over fast enough to get ignition, they will start.

They don't like starting when its that cold but will. Helps a lot to have a light synthetic oil, some block heat and good batteries.

My batteries are in pretty sad condition so when it drops below 30 F, I plug it in for a half hour or so, also put the battery charger on it and I always get a start.

its -35 celcius today in sask. my dodge wont start. neighbor across street fired up his duramax and it wasnt plugged in. sounded rough but started.

Is your fuel gelled? Were you plugged in?

It should start if it has fuel and batteries have power.

Was the EJA showing an increase in IAT with cranking? (indicating grid heater is working), what did the RP gauge show?

-40c, reason I switched to 0W40, and use battery heaters: plugged, in, never had a starting issue. Cycle heater twice, Motor turns over easier, fires, almost instant oil pressure.
