Tires: Post Your Mileage/Wear

What kind of tires do you have (or have you had) and what kind of mileage were you able to get out of them? Also how they were used please.

On a side note I have read of some guys on this site getting cloase to 80,000 miles out of a set of 17 inch tires but don't remeber what kind of tires they were. Does any one know what I am referring to?

Thanks,
Bart

I got 72k out of the stock BF Goodies. They still had probably another 5-7k left on them but the sidewall covering started coming off. Ran them mostly highway empty. Now have Toyo A/T's and have 29k on them. Will probably get 45-50k out of them.

My current set of 285/70/17 BFG ATs have 45,000 miles with another 10-15k left in them. I run 65psi and rotate every 7500.

I have the original General Ameristar 235/80/17 that came stock on my 2WD 3500 DRW. I currently have 85,300 and have at least 8-10K more left. I have been looking at other tires, but the wear I am getting, and the replacement price on tire rack of 127.00 ea. It is going to be tough to change, especially since I have to buy 6 tires. I check the pressure every two weeks, and rotate every 20K miles. Note... My truck is not quite 16 months old so that is about 5,400 miles per month. Lots of freeway, little or no off road, roughly 15K of heavy towing.
I was not impressed when I saw that it had Generals at time of purchase, but they have held up very very well.

Iv got the stock Michelin 265/70/17 on mine and have a little over 42K on the clock mostly highway miles.
Probably got another 10 K on them.
Looking to go to 285/75 but not really sure yet.

Original Michelin - Took a cross country trip when the truck was new, towing the Fox. When I got back (10,000 miles later) I rotated tires front to rear. When the truck had 55k on it, I was going to leave for a trip to Alaska and didn't want to take Mapops along, so I bought another set. Otherwise, had plenty of life left.

Second Set, Michelins again (not counting the day old D fiasco) - Took them to Alaska and back with no issues, rotated after I returned, front to back, again that was 10k miles. These tires only lasted 70k miles when I found a set of pulloffs (Michelins) with 500 miles on them for $575. The second set still has 5-10k left on them, but I'll put them on Craig's List.

Both sets of tires were rotated only once and that was due to the long trip with the Fox. Other than that, real even tire wear.
Other than the trips, usage is about 75% freeway.

My OEM BFG Rugged Trail T/A have 46,000 on them now, with 11/32" of tread left, so I should be able to easily get another 20K out of them. Mostly all highway miles.

Roger the generals!! I was also concerned with the generals when I bought my truck.,93,000 miles later when i replaced them with the same tire, I was very satisfied.Mostly towing miles, proper pressure, rotated every other oil change, never balanced or front-end aligned.,and of all the 17's on the market they are the least expensive.

Got 52k on BFG 315/70R/17 ATs, probably had a good 4-5k left on them. Rotated and balance every 6-8k, daily driving and highway.

Have 28k on BFG 285/70R/17 ATs currently with probably 20K plus on them. Same rotate and balance every 6-8K. Same daily driving and highway mix.

94K on the stock Michelins and still have plenty left. I will easily get 100K out of the stock tires. They are rotated at every oil change and pressure checked weekly.
