One tire isn't going to be best for every one. They're many differant driving situations. I like the ProComp XATs in 35/12.50R17. I drive mostly on pavement and some on gravel or sandy roads. The XATs roll easy and are quiet on pavement giving me good fuel milage. " Also have good traction on wet pavement " Off road traction is very good and they don't pick up stones like some tires do.

My vote is for Toyo MT's, they wear well, minimal sound for a MT, balance well, look good, and are E rated, cost is an issue though.

had pro comps, swamper IROKS and now have Toyo MT's.

LOVE THE MT's! These Toyos used very little weight compared to the other 2 brands I used. They ride killer, very smooth and with over 10k on them since June, they are wearing very well.

I think the mileage you get out of the Toyo's will offset the price difference. This is my first set of Toyo's and I have about 18K on them and I am very pleased with the wear. I have friends that have gotten over 40K out of these tires on the same truck I drive. I used to run the TerraGrappler's and they are no comparison to the Toyo's in my opinion.... they were hard to balance and I couldn't get any mileage out of them.

Toyos, because they are superior on heavy trucks that actually get heavy use. I've had many sets of both MTs and ATs. If you have a half ton the rest are fine.

Toyos. Huge load rating and easy to balance. Some are made in China though.

Really, which ones? I've had at least 7 sets of both ATs and MTs all made in Japan.

Where are you guys getting the best prices at on them? I am going to Firestone today to see about getting the lifetime alignment thing they have.

I fall into the "other" category too.

Toyos for me. I just turned over 60,000 miles on my 285/75/17 ATs. I'll be replacing them this week or next with a set of 285/70/17 ATs for a little more flexible and lighter tire. Both in E.

The Toyos balance well, last a long time and are quiet, but they have slightly less winter traction than a BFG.

They are also more expensive than Hankooks. I've been tempted by the Hankooks, but I'm unsure of the quality and I like Les Schwab who handles the Toyos.

I've got 54,000 miles on my BFG 305/65R/17's right now and the tread is still pretty good, not to the wear bars at least, but they will only go about another 5,000 miles before they should be changed.

The problem with the BFG's in this size is the wheel is too skinny, this puckers the tire and causes more center wear, and I need to keep the fronts aired WAY up or I get the death wobble. Death wobble is more common with BFGs than any other tire I think. These are load range E tires.

I'm looking for 19.5" wheels. Any idea where a guy can get a set for a single rear Dodge? Then I'd run a 265/70R/19.5 load range G that should go 150,000 miles.

Toyo open country H/T, I'm rarely in the snow or mud so the highway tread is good for me. Real quiet tire. I'm on my second set. Got 52k out of the first set. I tow the 16k 5er all the time that's why I get the E rated. Spendy, but no issues!

Hankook Dyno Pro A/T 10 ply and 3710# weight rating. Love the traction in all conditions. After 5k mile look brand new.
