I run the Rancho RS9000's on my truck. Had them for about two years now and the truck rides great. I have them set on 5 all around.

rementa, you could put Bretts Bilsteins on for him and see how you like them! Bilstein and Rancho 9000 get the most votes. 9000s if you want an adjustable gas shock and Bilstein for a nonadjustable gas shock. I have 9000s on a UPS truck somewhere! Craig

How are those Rancho's looking after a couple of years? I put a set of 5000's on my gasser ram and you could hardly tell they were white after a couple of years. Road salt certainly didn't help.

I'd like to replace my stock ones, too, so keep those opinions coming. I'll be here .

Doetsch Tech shocks! The best shocks that nobody knows about. More affordable than Bilsteins and Ranchos, and have a lifetime warranty to boot. Have had them on many trucks and never had to use the warranty. I have one for a steering stab too.

I added some Bilstein 5100s to my truck and it really helped the ride. But I'll be pulling them soon because I'm installing a 4.5" lift.

How are the Bilsteins helping the ride? Do they assist in speed bump harshness? My Ranchos suck just like the stockers did. I wouldn't buy Ranchos again. I need a shock that doesn't wake the baby when I hit speed bumps is this even posible w/ these trucks?

I am very happy with my Rancho 9000s. You just have to adjust them for your use at the time. I keep my fronts on 7 all the time. Rear on 3 unless im towing heavy....then I up it accordingly...usually to 7.

bilsteins

I've had the Bilsteins for about a yr. now. They are the finest shocks I've ever had. Ride is nice and smooth and we tow a 14k 5er, with great control when loaded. Had Ranchos previously and was not impressed.

For my truck, what would the part numbers be for the Bilstiens and Doetsch Shocks? How much are they and what are the best sources?

Thanks,

Joe

I'm on 2nd set of Ranch 9000's, great adjustablity, run fronts on 5 and rear on 3 when empty. Would like to get the in cab controller with R9000X's next round and double em up in the front and back with track bars. Then a guy could really let her loose in the cabbage. Would have to save the empties and trade them in for balljoints though, oh yeah and white Tremclad rust paint.

Had Bilstiens and melted them on wash board roads in Mexico, they got so hot they started to smoke and I thought they were going to start on fire. Only had them on the truck for 3 months. Installed the adjustable Rancho 9000 and have had no problems and the Ride is not as harsh as the Bilstiens. The Ranchos have been on the Truck for 25K
