time for a new blower motor

The blower motor has been sing for a while. Today the blower started to smell like burning plastic. the blower speed would go up and down as I had the AC on high. Where can I get a good price on a new blower motor?

While I have a 2nd gen not a 3rd when mine was going out I went to the local dealer and they wanted well over $300 for it. Unwilling to pay that for a blower motor I went to Autozone and picked one up for $65. I had to cut the plug off as the new one just had a pigtail no plug. Other than that install went fine all three screws. It is louder than the OEM one but not obnoxiously so. It is mostly on the highest setting that it is louder. It has started squealing when very cold now at startup so I will change it again this fall. It has been in approx 5 years. I cant remember if it came with a lifetime warranty or not but am sure I have the receipt as I keep them all. Even if it doesn't I will likely replace it with a like unit. The stock one lasted about 9 years this one about 5.

I run my blower on position 2 all the time year around and no problems at all. Still on the original.
