My best friends dad owns Joe kidd dodge which has a dealership in OH and IN. he said that they have had 5 03 HO diesels come in and need a new Injection pump. [undecided]
I hope they did not move the problems of the lift pump to the injection pump. he also said that for the 2nd gen owners they put some kind of extended warrenty on the doors because they rusted really bad on the bottom. he said that they will replace them free on any truck that is under 8 years old.

I have had about 150 new 03 Ram Diesels through my posesion this year and have not had a problem with one of them yet. These trucks have been performing flawlessly.

 

i hope this is just a shippment of bad trucks. I was there watching as the guy put a new pump on a red 1ton 4x4 6spd with 20k miles. I saw in the parts department that they had two 03 pumps in stock because of the # of them they have replaced.<br>Luke what about the door rusting problem. Is it true that they will replace the doors on the 2nd gen trucks if they rust?<br>DM01

 

I have never had anyone complain of the door rusting problem? I've never seen one that was rusted. Are you sure those pumps were for 03's. Those are what are called restricted parts. You cant order them for stock. You first have to call the star hotline and give them your diagnoses, and then if they agree with you they will send a pump. But we aren't allowed to stock them. Never have been.

 

Well the pumps may not have been but thats what I was told. Now I know for sure the pump was out on the 03 in the shop. I watched them replace it. They sent the pumps out with a Bosh rep.I guess I should have gotten his name. lol<br>all the 94-02 trucks have doors that rust. my 95 and 94 and 98 all are rusted around the bottom of the doors.<br>DM01
