I placed my order yesterday for a SLT Laramie 2500 quad cab 6.5' bed with the Cummins Diesel.<br><br>My friend, who places the orders but does not know all there is to know about cars, said that the motor I got does not have a turbo and that the HO has the turbo. I let it slide but thought I would double check for sanity reasons.<br><br>The SO has the turbo, correct? <br><br>Thanks,<br><br>Eric<br>

 

LMAO! They are Both Cummins TURBO Diesels! the HO just has different specs, I think the SO has the HY Turbo &amp; The HO has the HX<br><br>DRecu!

Who said Dealers had to have a brain? Some are Robots, programmed. Mine said auto trannys have self-adjusting bands, the pan doesn't need to be removed to change the filter. They now have drain plugs to change the fluid.

So refreshing when you find one like Luke with Brains and Integrety.

It's hard to understand how they can sell a product that they do not know.

Yesterday I was a drillin and a tappin my exhaust manifold to install my pyrometer on my SO CARB. Sure hope that aluminum thingy below the flange with all the hoses attached was a turbo or I installed my PacBrake in the wrong place. Make a copy of this post and SHOVE IT IN THE DEALER'S FACE. Don't go back to him for any warranty work. You might end up high octane unleaded in your tank.

 

I know the Dodge mechanic and he laughed when I ran him to him the other day. <br><br>They have one dodge mechanic and the rest are GM since it is mainly a GM dealership.<br><br>Three weeks after my order and still no word. He said it is taking extra long to get the trucks in. They have had one built now since the first of April and it still hasn't made it in.<br><br>Eric<br>

 

Tennesee is just a rock throw away from me. And I am getting trucks in 4-6 weeks from the order date, no problems. From the day they are built they are taking 7-12 days to get to me.

 

Interesting. They had the same problem when I ordered my 99Z28. I could not get a SS because they had no allocations for them because of their size. They had to wait for ever before the order got through. Plus, they are a small dealership.<br><br>Are you strictly a dodge dealership?<br><br>I am in a unique position. We buy many trucks per year and have much service work done there. I go straight to the owner or purchase agent (who I went to this time) and just place my order and wait. I don't get any bull because the owner is a very close friend of the family for a very long time. <br><br>This sucks. I want my truck. <br><br>Thanks for the info.<br><br>Eric
