A/T Trans 2nd gear question

A/T Trans 2nd gear question
Is this normal, if I have the truck in 2nd slowly idleing (no load) threw a parking lot it bucks continuesly. If I put it in 3rd the problem goes away, I didnt check 1st but know I used it pulling my boat up the ramp with out any problems.
Ideas anyone?
