I've got a local vendor and am seriously considering switching to amsoil synthetic motor oil. My ? is how many miles do you guys go (mostly unloaded in my case) before you change your oil. I've been changing Rotela T every 5,000 miles.

if you are going to run AMSOIL without the bypass system then change it at the normal interval at a minimum. You can extend out some if you want to. Also make sure you use the AMSOIL oil filters because they will make a difference in how they ckean the oil over regular oil filters

 

25000 miles with the dual remote system is what I am running.

 

I use the 15w-40 Diesel oil, year round, and change every 7500 miles or 6 months whichever comes first,using a Stratapore Filter.
