Re:Swap 3.73 gears for 4.10?
If you specifically ordered 4.10's then that is a little different story, then they should be their. When I ordered mine I sat right down with the owner as he punched the order in the computer so any mistakes were pretty much my own.
One other option might be, depending on the dealer. If they have a truck or order one with 4.10 they could swap axles the entire axle assemblies. Would be easier then a gear swap, but I doubt a dealer would do it. Find a member close to you that has 4.10 and wants 3.73 and you could get it for free
Either way I think the 3.73 will probably do ya, actually I think adding something like an Edge EZ will gain you more pulling power then the 4.10's will.

LatrobeHO I'm in NY. I'm looking to change to the 4.1 ratio, I've got the 3.73 with limited slip rear. I'll trade you. We can do the swap at my place. Let me know if your interested we'll work out the details.

Re:Swap 3.73 gears for 4.10?
I also have a 2003 Dodge Ram with 3.73 and an LSD. My truck has 800 miles on it. I would like 4.10s out back. I would be willing to trade with someone. The swap can be done in a few hours in my driveway.
I am not 100% sure that I have an 11.5" rear end though. I heard that late model year SO's with 48RE's instead of 47RE may have 11.5" rear. How can I check this... anyone?
