Super tech

Does anybody use super tech 15 w 40 oil in there trucks. What is your opinion on the super tech oil. I run rotella oil now. But was thinking about a switch to help keep cost of service down I change my oil every 5000 miles now. I only use fleet guard filters.

I have heard the Super Tech oils is decent. But I personally don't have any experience with the brand.

As long as it is CI-4 Plus or CJ-4 rated, the oil should be fine. However, I've never had any experience with the Walmart oil.

Hanging out on BITOG for a few years now I have found that it (Super tech) is made by one of the big refineries/oil companies...which means it is probably fine, but IIRC the TBN and additive pack may have been slightly less than say Rotella T, Delo, Delvac, VPB...etc. (not confirmed, but little info on it either) I would stick with Rotella if I were you-oil is cheap, engines aren't.

to save a little $$, change your oil every 7500 miles (instead of 5k) and keep using the rotella(JMHO)!

I will stick with rotella but just wanted to know your opinion and if any body has used it. With the rising cost of fuel just looking for a way to save a few bucks. Rotella is almost 10 dollars a gallon. Super tech is 15 dollars for the 2 gallon jug. I buy my filters buy the case so it is cheaper I pay like 5 dollars a filter for fleet guard.

I used it on my old truck for 7 years, and then on my new truck until I switched over to synthetic. It's fine.

I've used it in my last three oil changes, and have no issues using it. I do like the price considering the cost and amount of oil it takes per change. I did use rotella prior to super tech oil. I have more issues having a quality oil filter.
