truck has 80k miles now, had fluid changed by dealer and bands adjusted. have noticed that while cruisng along anywhere from 25-45 mph, if i mash the pedal, the engine rpms shoot up and it takes a sec or two for "something" to kick in and take off. has doen this for some time. does it with the juice on all levels and with juice off. is it the tranny, is it the torque converter? truck shifts fine all other times. it seems after the pause, the rpms come back down while something"cathces" and it takes off. any ideas people? stock tranny and TC btw

My guess is that they adjusted the kick-down cable and got it a little too tight. Now the trans--in some speed ranges-- drops two gears instead of one.
What do they say about it?
