Hey guys my cousin just bought a 04.5 quad short bed 4x4 cummins 600 and he was wondering if anyone has straight piped there truck yet and if you guys have how does it sound..

 

I have a DPP 4" exhaust but when I was replacing my exhaust I drove around the block a few times with no exhaust at all (open turbo) and it was not really that bad. Everyone said it was SO LOUD but the turbo does a pretty good job of muffling alone.

 

if you leave the cat in place, and just loose the muffler it won't be very loud at all [i didn't think my tahoe 6.5TD was loud straight piped no muff, no cat either ]
