What is the stock turbo on the third gen trucks? THanx,

HE351W is the turbo on 3rd gens, at least 04.5 600+.

So thats basically the same as the hy-35 just later model., right?

Didnt pay much attention to the compressor side but the exhaust housing is way different. The back of the turbo doesnt bolt off like the earlier ones. Not to mention the new ones have 4" exhaust.

Depending on the year as there was a change in 04.5. 03 to 04.5 is a HE341 and 04.5 and later is a HE351. Check out website from Holset UK. http://www.holset.co.uk/files/2_2-applications.php#. Basically the outlet on the exhaust side of the turbo accepts a 4 inch down pipe and I believe the the wastegate is electronically controlled on the HE351 turbo.
