stock intake tube

just looked at the stock intake tube on my trk and saw some sort of baffle system in it. can it be removed? is there an aftermarket replacement?
thanks for the help. i'm new the cummins engine. converting from a 97' 7.3L PSD

there are hundreds of kits for this. you can either buy the replacement torque tube, or cut the baffle system out and replace it. Do a search for this and you will find a hundred differant way to do something with that baffle system.

Yes there is you can find one at www.genosgarage.com it's called an MPC-eliminator pipe. Other guys might know other places.

make your own...cheaper

I just used a few pieces of 4" polished stainless laying around the shop. 2 90 degree elbows, one short piece of straight and there you have it.

Airaid also makes a tube replacement. I paid around $50 for it.

Check out the "cool blue hose". Now also in other colors. It seems to be the best option. And by best, I don't mean cheapest!
