Question Stock Boost & Spool

What is normal boost psi for a stock turbo? I will get about 3-4 cruising at certain speeds and about 17 or so when i accelerate. When should the boost start RPM wise? currently running the M3 tune on the X2. Wondering i if have low boost but no code. What would help me get a faster spool up?

Boost readings are low - are they from the Commander?

Verify with mechanical gauge.

Should max out ~ 32psi stock.

I have only been able to hit 22 psi on my 03 so model. Reading is with a commander. Are the commanders known to be off?

Problems with electronic gauges are more likely than mechanical analog.

Your HE341 turbo won't boost as high.

Mine runs about 3-10 psi when cruising depending on terrain and right foot. I have seen 36 psi on the stock turbo with the edge in stock. which surprised the hell outta me..

Doesn't the Quad box boost-fool even when extra fueling is not engaged?

I know the Quad on our '05 does, as long as it's plugged in.
Stock fueling then produces 36-38psi boost worth of drive pressure on the HE351.

With a different boost elbow and a boost fooler I can get the turbo on my 03 SO to 33-35psi. I don't beleive they are that efficient when they are that high though.

Before I got my boost fooler if I touched 25psi it would pop a CEL for overboost. The truck sortive went into a "limp" mode until the code was cleared.
