Stereo question

I have a 4 speaker stereo in my truck now. I have been reading about a can bus, does this have anything to do with just a straight forward stereo install. I have read about them, but i think that they are just to use the steering wheel controls is this correct.

thanks
nathan

You should be fine. Just use the designated power wires for the factory radio only. Don't "tap" into ANYTHING. Use the remote turn on on the aftermarket stereo. Do not use any keyswitch power or fuse block power. And last but not least, be sure your system including any amps are chassis grounded really good.

Well said, and make sure your stereo has a pre-amp.
