Steering wheel jolt going over bump
Steering wheel jolt going over bump
I have been noticing the steering wheel shaking or joilting a lot when going over speed bumps or pot holes never noticed it before only 13500 miles on it stock wheels and tires but does not feel right that i would have that much feed back thru the wheel any one noticed this on theres i do have 4x4 drw
I dont know if these trucks have a track bar. But if they do, that might be a place to look. On my old Cherokee, I had the same thing. Hit a bump and a shimmy side to side on the axle. It was the track bar TRE to the frame. Good luck.
Have the alignment checked. I had the same problem and I took it to Goodyear for an alignment and it turns out the "toe" was way off, making the tires point inward. Got the toe corrected and it hasn't ever done it since and I run 35's. I'll know what to look for should it ever arise.
are you feeling the wheel in side the cab move slightly, or does it feel like steering parts?
mine will knock or slightly move in the column some where under the dash it feel like, when going over speed bumps, and when braking hard. it seems that it usually when i have more that average pressure pushing on the steering wheel, like when braking hard because somebody is stopping in front of me for no reason.
