Hard Jolt at speed

OK, I have a new BD Tranny, in for about 6 months now. Got on the highway, up to speed 60mph or so went to pass someone. Did stomp it for the tranny to kick down out of OD, but as I was easing up some it felt as though the tranny or driveline almost disconnected, stop pulling then BAM hard thump pulling again. It did it again about 5 minutes later then was fine. When I got to where I was going I checked the Tranny fulid level, it was extra high but with bubblews in it. Not foam but air bubbles. So what gives or does anyone have any sugestions
