The part number for the latest OEM upgrade ends with "AF" now.

Installed one two weeks ago and the receipt and the sticker on the part both said "AF" ????????? Don't know what the difference might be----if any---maybe just a new vendor.

not a new vendor. Mopar has always changed the last 2 letters to show an update unless there has been a total vendor change, then they change complete part numbers

I was at source a month ago, a friend bought the upgrade. They said that they buy the newest upgrade parts and drill n tap for the zerks. The joints supposedly have a hardened metal that requires more than a Home depot drill bit that the weekend warrior has.

Does the pitman arm come with the source kit or doesn't it require it?

I believe the pitman arm is not included, and from what I have read it's a good idea to replace it too. I think the geometry is a little different on the new one.

The diference in the 2 part numbers that I can see visually is the later part has a locating clamp so that the adjusting sleeve gets indexed correctly so as not to hit anything as it travels.
Source does not sell the pitman arm from what I have been told.I still have a few from a group deal I did a while back
