have a 3rd gen with 140,000 .a month ago it started with the first injector rattle. spit out a code, i unplugged cp3 it spit out another. took it to a mechanic he cleared codes, we ran it,seemed fine, he said probably no big deal since the rattle is common, his even did it. started getting a little blowby from puke tube, no more codes. took in for oil analysis with 5000 on it
came back normal. now after an easy 3 hour run without trailer, doing 70 it used 2 quarts of oil. it seems like rings to me, runs good, maybe 5 degrees hotter. anyone know what a descent ring job would cost?
